Voluntary Action Rotherham big walk to celebrate volunteering in Rotherham

VAR Big Walk

Voluntary Action Rotherham (VAR) are once again organising their ‘Big Walk’ for 2017 on 6th June, 1pm - 3pm, starting and finishing at All Saints’ Square in Rotherham town centre.

The walk, taking place during National Volunteers’ Week (1st - 7th June), is one of a number of events that VAR will be holding as part of ‘Count me in’, where the whole month of June is given over to activities and events to celebrate their volunteers and raise the profile of volunteering in Rotherham.

The Walk will start at All Saints Square around 13.20pm and involve a lap of the town centre before returning to the square around 40 minutes later. Participants will then enjoy refreshments, cake and an opportunity to network between 2-3pm back at the Minster. All local volunteers and their supporters are welcome to take part in the event.

If you give your time as a local volunteer or your organization or group engages volunteers and you’d like to join VAR for the big walk, please get in touch with Alison Thorp on 01709 834462 or Email: alison.thorp@varotherham.org.uk. It would be great to hear from you!

Deadline for bookings is Friday 2nd June.
